CONTRACT WITH MEN

Citizens concerned with the long term direction of our society and the maintenance of our traditions of individual freedom and responsibility view with apprehension the increasing practice by political and social institutions to view society as composed not of individuals but of classes and races and genders; of religions and sects; each to be pitted against another as groups, for the rights and privileges that society may bestow.
This is inimical to the long-term stability of society and to the bonds of mutual respect and trust that individual citizens must have toward one another in a free society -- if that society is to prosper. Group entitlements, group preferences, group assignment of rights and responsibilities of any kind will end; by government and by those subject to its laws.
To achieve this I commit to working toward the following objectives:
1. EMPLOYMENT BASED SOLELY ON ABILITY
Federal legislation barring ANY consideration of gender, race, creed, color, ethnicity, or sexual orientation in hiring, firing, promotion, or school or university admission; or in determining access to or eligibility for any taxpayer-supported institution or program will be enacted. Group set-asides and preferences which treat persons not as individuals, but as members of a class when determining eligibility, will end.
2. PARENTHOOD AND MARRIAGE
Fathers will have a truly equal place in the lives of their children. With 60% of women in the work force, awarding physical custody of children to mothers in 92% of divorces only reflects a long-outdated vision of stay-at-home parenting that is not valid. Gender bias in the family court system will end and custody and support laws will reflect the actual conditions of family life.
3. LAWS THAT APPLY TO ALL
The normal rules of evidence used in criminal trials, and the Constitutional guarantees of equal protection and due process in sexual crimes will be restored. The recent move toward a caste society -- where female defendants and accusers are given special privileges and victim status, while male defendants lost rights in place for hundreds of years, will end.
Criminal laws which are not gender-neutral will be eliminated, especially in those states where statutory rape is not a crime when committed by a woman -- boys deserve equal protection under the law.
Sexual Allegation kangaroo courts will end; schools, universities, corporations, and government agencies will be held fully accountable before the law; persecution of individuals, usually men, on the basis of unproven and often disproved allegations of sexual misconduct will end; those responsible for such persecution will be liable for both criminal charges and civil damages.
4. BASIC HUMAN DIGNITY
Taxpayer money and governmental support to universities and other educational institutions used for anti-male propaganda will end. Unscientific surveys and studies which denigrate males and masculophobic curricula and literature will end.
5. GOVERNMENT POLICY
Government policies which treat males as second-class citizens whose lives are worth less than women's will end. The male-only draft which treats men as expendable while will be accompanied by programs which require comparable sacrifices by females. Research funds for gender-specific disease will be apportioned to the relative contribution by each gender; research spending for diseases specific to women now exceeds the amount spent on male-specific diseases by more than two times -- while the life expectancy of males -- once equal to women's -- is seven years less.
