Blasphemy Is Defile Ourselves with Gillul Strong's #H1544, gillul Ezekiel 23:37 That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their gillul have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bore unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them (KJV) For they miscegenated, and blood is on their hands. With their idols they miscegenated, and they have even offered up to them for food the children whom they had borne to me. (ESV) That3588 they have committed adultery,5003 and blood1818 is in their hands,3027 and with854 their idols1544 have they committed adultery,5003 and have also1571 caused (853) their sons,1121 whom834 they bore3205 unto me, to pass for them through5674 the fire, to devour402 them. Are gillul really only idols? The Hebrew word gillul appears 48 times in the Holy Bible, 47 times as idols and 1 time as images. In addition, there are13 other Hebrew words and 6 Greek words which are translated into the English words idol and idolatry, evidence of a bias from translators who would presume that a word which means log would also be a figurative representation for idol. A detailed analysis of the context of the word shows that gillul are able to miscegenate or commit adultery, that pictures of them were portrayed on the walls, that when they were destroyed they had carcasses, that they could be served rather than merely worshipped, that they were put away rather than merely destroyed, that Israelites could defile themselves by a whoring after them, that they could be confounded, that they were able to transgress the law, that they could be borne, indicating that it a gillul is a person rather than an inanimate object like an idol. Ezekiel 20:27 Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.Eze 20:31 For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all gillul, even unto this day: and shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be inquired of by you.Considering that gillul are not permitted into the congregation of the LORD, even to the tenth generation, that there is a notable lack of reference to gillul in the rest of the Holy Bible, and that these persons are called abominations and are put away, it's evident that these persons are non-Israelites of some kind.
ga^lal gaw-lal' A primitive root; to roll (literally or figuratively): - commit, remove, roll (away, down, together), run down, seek occasion, trust, wallow.
Eze 23:37 That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with gillul have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bore unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them.
Lev 26:30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcasses upon the carcasses of gillul, and my soul shall abhor you. Eze 23:7 Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted: with all their gillul she defiled herself.
2Ki 23:24 Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the healers [was images], and the gillul [was idols], and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD. Eze 6:9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after gillul [was idols]: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.
Eze 20:7 Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the gillul of Egypt: I am the LORD your God. Eze 20:18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with gillul.
Eze 37:23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with gillul, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. Eze 20:39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every gillul, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with gillul. Eze 23:39 For when they had sacrificed [was slain] their own children to gillul, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house. Eze 8:10 So I went in and saw; and behold every image [was form] of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the gillul in [was idols of] the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about. 2Ki 21:21 And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the gillul [was idols] that his father served, and worshiped them: Eze 30:13 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the gillul, and I will cause their images [read: idols, from Strong's # 457, iliyl] to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt. Jer 50:2 Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her gillul are destroyed. 1Ki 15:12 And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the gillul that his ancestors had borne. Eze 16:36 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the gillul of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them Deu 29:17 And ye have seen the abominations of gillul, wood and stone, silver and gold,TWENTY WORDS ARE TRANSLATED AS IDOL Isa 66:3 He that killeth7819 an ox7794 is as if he slew5221 a man;376 he that sacrificeth2076 a lamb,7716 as if he cut off a dog's neck;6202, 3611 he that offereth5927 an oblation,4503 as if he offered swine's2386 blood;1818 he that burneth2142 incense,3828 as if he blessed1288 an idol.205 Yea,1571 they1992 have chosen977 their own ways,1870 and their soul5315 delighteth2654 in their abominations.8251

The jews have a very different view of the Hebrew word gillul, claiming that the Zorah, the Kabbalistic correspondences to the Holy Bible, is the verbal parallel to the Torah which provides the missing link to the Hebrew word tsphua, Strong's H6832, which means dung. In other words, gillul means log, which is a reference to dung, which means dung people who are the golem who clean the city. With their fastidious concentration on scatology, it's no wonder that jews delight in such an interpretation, so much so that jews too fail to understand that gillul means mamzer.
