"the right of the people to keep and bear arms,
shall not be infringed"
The Second Amendment to the US Constitution
A
free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient
arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might
attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government.

Note to Sheriff
John Pelle in Boulder: I hope you remember when Mike Hingle and I
visited your office two years
ago to explain
how
IRS agents were violating we the people's
rights and committing criminal acts by seizing property
and garnishing
wages without a court order. Thank God these Wyoming Sheriffs now understand that the
real law breakers aren't the
people in their
county - it is the
federal agents. It is
totally unAmerican for the
government/agents to violate the law
in
order to 'harm
and punish people' without having to prove those
people have knowingly, willingly and intentionally violated
any law.
We need to write
Sheriff Mattis and thank him and the other co-plaintiffs for standing up for
our American birthrights!!!

The Gun is Civilization
by Maj. L. Caudill USMC (Ret)
>
Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another:
reason and
force.
If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice
of either
convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding
under
threat
of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those
two categories,
without exception. Reason or force, that's it.
>
In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively
interact
through
persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social
interaction,
and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the
personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.
>
When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You
have to use
reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to
negate your threat or employment of force.
>
The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound
woman on
equal
footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on
equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal
footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the
disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential
attacker and a defender.
>
There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the
source of bad
force
equations. These are the people who think that we'd be
more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm
makes it easier for a [armed] mugger to do his job. That, of course, is only
true if the mugger's potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice
or by legislative fiat--it has no validity when most of a mugger's potential
marks are armed.
>
People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic
rule by the
young, the strong, and the many, and that's the exact
opposite of a
civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only
make a
successful
living in a society where the state has granted him a
force monopoly.
>
Then there's the argument that the gun makes
confrontations lethal
that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument
is
fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved,
confrontations are
won by the physically superior party inflicting
overwhelming injury on the loser.
>
People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don't
constitute
lethal
force watch too much TV, where people take beatings and
come out of it
with a bloody lip at worst. The fact that the gun makes
lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the
stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.
>
The gun is the only weapon that's as lethal in the hands
of an
octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter. It
simply wouldn't work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn't both lethal
and easily employable.
>
When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for
a fight,
but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my
side means
that I
cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because
I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid.. It doesn't limit the
actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions
of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation...and
that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.
>
So the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are
equally
armed
and can only be persuaded, never forced.

Wyoming
sheriffs put Feds in their place.
From:
James W. von Brunn
Here's one the mainstream media isn't going to tell you:
County sheriffs in
Wyoming
are demanding that federal agents actually abide by the
Constitution, or face arrest. Even better, a U.S. District
Court agreed according to the Keene Free Press: The court
decision was the result of a suit against both the BATF and
the IRS by Mattis and other members of the WyomingSheriff's
Association. The suit in the
Wyoming
federal court district sought restoration of the protections
Constitution and the Wyoming Constitution.
Guess what? The
District Court ruled in favor of the sheriffs. In fact, they
stated,Wyoming
is a sovereign state and the duly elected sheriff of a county is
the highest law enforcement official within a county and has
law enforcement powers exceeding that of any other state or
federal official.' Go back and re-read this quote. The
court confirms and asserts that 'the duly elected sheriff of a
county is the highest law enforcement official within a county and
has law enforcement powers EXCEEDING that of any other state OR
federal official.' And you thought the 10th Amendment was dead and
buried — not in Wyoming, not
yet.Bighorn
County Sheriff Dave
Mattis comments:
'If a sheriff
doesn't want the Feds in his county he has the constitutional
right and power to keep them out, or ask them to leave, or
retain them in custody.' 'I am reacting in response to the
actions of federal
employees who have attempted to deprive
citizens of my county of their privacy, their liberty, and
their property without regard to constitutional safeguards. I
hope that more sheriffs all across
America
will join us in protecting their citizens from the
illegal activities of the IRS, EPA,
BATF,FBI, or any other federal agency that is operating
outside the confines of
constitutional law. Employees of the IRS and the EPA are no
longer welcome in
Bighorn
County unless they
intend to operate in conformance to constitutional law.'
The implications are huge!!!
But it gets even better. Since the judge stated that the sheriff
'has law enforcement powers EXCEEDING that of any other state OR
federal official,' the
Wyoming
sheriffs are flexing their muscles. They are demanding access to
all BATF files. Why? So as to verify that the agency is not
violating provisions of
Wyoming
law that prohibits the registration of firearms or the keeping of a
registry of firearm owners. This would be wrong.
The
sheriffs are also demanding that federal agencies immediately cease
the seizure of private property and the impoundment of private
bank accounts without regard to due process in
Wyoming
state courts. This
case is not just some amusing mountain melodrama. This is a BIG
deal. This case is yet further evidence that the 10th Amendment is
not yet totally dead, or in a complete decay in the
United States. It is also
significant in that it can, may, and hopefully will be
interpreted to mean that 'political subdivisions of a State are
included within the meaning of the amendment, or that the powers
exercised by a sheriff are an extension of those common law powers
which the 10th Amendment explicitly reserves to the People, if they
are not granted to the federal government or specifically prohibited
to the States.'

BY FAR, the
biggest threat to the Second Amendment is not jews, not our wayward politicians,
not the out of control news media, not our schools--BUT THE WOMAN VOTER!

IMAGINE that, in this age of enlightenment, with the internet,
and public libraries all OVER the place, with ponderous tv and radio and
magazines and newspapers, with the ABILITY to comprehend the Founding Fathers
intent with the Second Amendment RIGHT AT THEIR FINGERTIPS, that more women
(39%) support even more FAILED "gun control" than oppose it (only 36%).

Marine Corps General
Reinwald was interviewed on the radio the other day and you'll love his reply
to the lady who interviewed him concerning guns and Children. Regardless of how
you feel about gun laws you gotta love this!!!!
This is one of the
best comeback lines of all time. It is a portion of National Public Radio (NPR)
interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who
was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when
they visit your base?
GENERAL REINWALD:
We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery, and shooting.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?
GENERAL REINWALD: I
don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching
children?
GENERAL REINWALD: I
don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they
even touch a firearm.
FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
But you're equipping them to become violent killers.
GENERAL REINWALD:
Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?
The radio went silent
and the interview ended. You gotta love the Marines!

Before even one
gun control law was passed, the homicide rate in the
US in 1957 was 4 per 100,000 population, but by 1993, after 22,000 gun control laws
had been passed, it had increased 2.3 fold to 9.5. There were an extra
14,087 homicides in 1993 alone due just to this increased homicide rate.
Had the US homicide rate just remained at its already high level in 1957 (four
times higher than it was in 1902), there would have been more than 380,000
fewer homicides since then, which is an average of 17 additional
homicides per gun control law. If it cannot be proven that other factors
caused this skyrocketing crime spree, then we have incontrovertible evidence
that each new gun control law was responsible for killing 17 additional
American citizens, and that the sponsors of these
laws are some of the worst traitors to the United States Constitution in our
short history. Not only are these gun control laws unpopular, expensive,
unconstitutional, and dangerous, but they're KILLING Americans at a rate 126
TIMES greater than the Muslim terrorists our government
proposes to spend tens of billions of dollars to punish.
Let's save
billions of dollars and thousands of American lives by tracking down,
investigating, and punishing these traitors to the US Constitution, so that we
can discover once and for all why they were so willing and anxious to put so
many American lives at risk. Let's open this issue up to public debate in
such a way that we don't ever make such mistakes again. Let's put the
teeth back in the US Constitution by imprisoning those who would overthrow it
so readily and easily.

GUNS &
WOMEN VOTERS
The Nineteenth Amendment is a threat to the U. S.
Constitution:
From the Gallup
Organization http://www.gallup.com/poll/releases/pr990423.asp
"Women Particularly Critical of Role of Guns--Women are substantially more
likely than men to cite the availability of guns as a significant factor
contributing to school shootings. Women are also more likely to express
confidence that stricter gun laws for teenagers would be a very effective
preventive solution. Only 47% of men, compared to 73% of women, blame gun
availability "a great deal" for causing U.S. school shootings like the
one in Littleton-a 26-percentage-point difference. Similarly, just 53% of men
compared to 70% of women think stricter gun laws would be very effective-a
17-point difference".
Without the female
vote, the Constitutional right to bear arms would not be threatened.
Because women are 11% more of the vote than men, 60.7% of the voters would vote
to "infringe" on the right to bear arms. However, it requires
support by two thirds of the voters to amend the constitution:
"The Congress, whenever two-thirds of both houses
shall deem it
necessary, shall propose amendments to this constitution, or on the
application of the legislatures of two-thirds of the several states"
By passing a law
which INFRINGES on the right to bear arms, without the required amendment to
the Constitution necessary to repeal the Second Amendment, Congress is
committing treason against the Constitution by violating their following oath http://thomas.loc.gov/
|

|
The SPEAKER. Will the
Members who were not sworn in on opening day kindly come to the well of the
House and take the oath of office at this time.
|
|

|
Messrs. Mollohan,
Hoyer, Stark and Gallegly appeared at the bar of the House and took the oath
of office , as follows:
|
|

|
Do you solemnly swear
that you will support and defend the Constitution of the United States
against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that you will bear true faith and
allegiance to the same; that you take this obligation freely, without any mental
reservation or purpose of evasion; and that you will well and faithfully
discharge the duties of the office in which you are about to enter. So help
you God.
|
|

|
The SPEAKER. Congratulations. You are now
Members of the 106th Congress This does not give Congress the authority to
react emotionally to the female voter every time there is a national
calamity. It does not give them the authority to abandon the
Constitution nor its Amendments. It does not give them the authority to
ignore the basic law of the land. It does not give them the authority
to pass any law at any time.
It gives
Congress only the *responsibility* to uphold the EXISTING Constitution OR to
ratify it by following a specific easy to understand procedure.
Until Congress
removes the Second Amendment from the Constitution, they cannot
"infringe" on ownership of "arms" of ANY kind.
GUNS
& GUN CONTROL NUTS
Twenty Dumb Things You Must Believe to be a Gun
Control Nut
- Criminals planning murder will disobey murder laws but will
not disobey gun control laws.
- Criminals who obey gun control laws won't think about
getting guns from their friends.
- Criminals who obey gun control laws won't consider stealing
guns because robbery is against the law.
- Criminals won't dare use guns obtained illegally.
- Gun control laws are free.
- Gun control laws won't be abused by the world's largest
justice/prison system.
- Criminals who can't get guns won't use knives instead.
- Criminals who can't get guns won't use bombs instead.
- Fertilizer used to make much more dangerous bombs can also
be outlawed.
- Bombs used in place of guns won't kill more people than
guns would have.
- Reducing our 230 million guns by 99.9% wouldn't leave
plenty left over for the 12,000 gun-related murders each year.
- Cars don't have an accidental fatality rate 36 times higher
than guns.
- Cars which aren't constitutionally protected won't be
outlawed in the same way as guns were, which were constitutionally
protected.
- American citizens can entrust with guns the same government
which brought us Vietnam and 36 million abortions, which half the
American population views as MURDER.
- This government won't do to disarmed Americans what
numerous other governments around the world did to their 121 million
disarmed and now dead citizens.
- Guns aren't used to protect 400,000 citizens per year from
criminals.
- SMH's aren't 364 times more dangerous to children than
guns.
- SIDs doesn't kill 10x as many children as guns.
- Outlawing SMHs isn't a better method of crime prevention.
- The government which imposed by force of law 36 million abortions
against the will of its people really cares that guns kill 220
children/year.
GUNS
& CRIME PREVENTION
With 4 million robberies, burglaries, and other personal assaults each year,
in a nation with 230 million private firearms, it is not surprising that 10%
of these, or 400,000, involved crime victims who used firearms to defend
their lives.

Subject: 10 Good Reasons to Ban Guns
Date: Fri, 6 Sep 2002 03:00:11 EDT
>Ten Good Reasons To Ban Guns
>a satire by Bruce Gold
>
>1.) Guns are used in self-defense over 2 million times a year.
>However, this makes the attempted crime a "non-event," which
>necessarily complicates the Police investigation. Without civilian
>ownership of guns, these Police investigations would not have been
>compromised. Civilians should leave crime prevention to the Police,
>who are properly equipped to investigate following the crime's
>completion.
>
>2.) Some .004 % (4/1000 of 1%) of guns are used in crime each year.
>This is way too high. All guns should be banned
>
>3.) Guns are unnecessary. In 98% of civilian gun defenses, no shot is
>fired. If you are not going to fire a shot, you clearly don't need a
>gun. This proves that the guns are unnecessary. Banning guns will
>prevent these unnecessary defenses.
>
>4.) Guns cause criminal migration. In tough gun-law Washington, D.C.,
>violent crime rates are very high. This high crime rate is caused by
>the migration of criminals from gun havens like Virginia. This
>migration is caused by the criminal's cowardly avoidance of armed
>householders and concealed-carry civilians. This criminal migration is
>detrimental to helpless unarmed citizens in no-gun areas and must be
>stopped. Guns should be banned everywhere.
>
>5.) Most gun crimes are committed by inner city gangs and drug
>dealers. These relatively small and geographically restricted groups
>consistently commit the majority of gun crimes, which usually peak as
>turf wars erupt over Drug War changes. The best way to prevent this is
>by denying guns to all law abiding people everywhere.
>
>6.) No woman needs to protect herself from rape, assault or murder.
>The Police will protect women by investigating the crime after the
>fact. Remember, Police paperwork is all the protection anyone really
>needs.
>
>7.) Guns owners are disrespectful of authority. Good citizens should
>completely rely on the authorities. A failure to do so is an
>invariable sign of improper and overly independent attitudes. Failure
>to completely and absolutely trust and depend on the authorities is
>excessive democracy and sends a bad message to children.
>
>8.) Guns owners engaging in self-defense are taking the law into their
>own hands. This is wrong. Only the Police and Criminals have the right
>to take the law into their own hands. It should be kept out of the
>hands of citizens.
>
>9.) Children and young people should remain ignorant about guns. Real
>guns and real gun knowledge dissipate the fantasies created by violent
>video games and TV. Ignorance, once lost, can never be restored and
>needs to be protected. Not to mention the lost sales of all the
>violent movies, TV shows, video games, etc!
>
>10.)Guns reduce people's reliance on the Police and Government. This
>fosters a mistaken belief in "rights". No person has the right
to
>question authority. No person should be less than 100% dependent on
>authority. This is fundamental to social order. Banning guns will help
>to establish the Order the authorities want. This is good.

GUNS
& CHILD DEATHS
It's
questionable that even a 50% reduction in the number of guns, from 230
million to 115 million, is either possible or would have any impact at all on
the rate at which children die from guns. On the other hand, voluminous
data shows that eliminating SMHs would both reduce the rate at which children
die from 36.4 to 0.62, and reduce the rate at which they die by guns from
5.24 to 0.62. This would save 9,607 children's lives each year.
The proper method for reducing child deaths, accidental or murder, is to
implement laws which reduce the number of SMHs. Outlawing
guns which are less dangerous and subjecting citizens to egregious acts by
government not only violates the Constitution, but it puts American citizens
at as serious a risk as the following citizens, who also didn't have guns

Had it not been for

Even IF the number of children killed by guns could be reduced to zero with

Buses kill 50% more children than guns. The real danger of gun control laws, besides being
unconstitutional, besides putting American citizens at risk to
"death by government", besides increasing their risk of being
maimed or killed by criminals, is that they provide the moral justification for the
government to ban automobiles next.
How can we

Of course, we cannot.
