Gillul appears 47 times as idol.

Gillul are "idols" who commit adultery, before whom children are sacrificed, who are portrayed on the wall, who have carcasses when slain, who are served rather than worshipped, who are put away rather than removed,

who the Israelites whored after, with whom the holy seed can be polluted, who can be confounded, who it is an abomination for an Israelite to lift up his eyes to, with whom men of Assyria defiled themselves, who can pollute the land, and from whom Israelites can be cleansed.

For they miscegenated, and blood is on their hands. With their idols they miscegenated, and they have even offered up to them for food the children whom they had borne to me. (ESV)

The Hebrew word gillul appears 48 times in the Holy Bible, 47 times as idols and 1 time as images. In addition, there are 13 other Hebrew words and 6 Greek words which are translated into the English words idol and idolatry. Of these 13 Hebrew words, 9 of them (otseb, kamar, shiqquts, chamman, aven, etseb, teraphim, aven, and eyma) are translated as idol only once, and not in one case is this deviation from the otherwise accepted meaning of the words consistent. In each of these 9 appearances of the English word idol, the Scripture would have been much clearer if the word that appears the most often had been used in place of idol.

A detailed analysis of the context shows that gillul are able to miscegenate or commit adultery, that pictures of them were portrayed on the walls, that when they were destroyed they had carcasses, that they could be served rather than merely worshipped, that they were put away rather than merely destroyed, that Israelites could defile themselves by a whoring after them, that they could be confounded, that they were able to transgress the law, that they could be borne, all of which indicates that a gillul is a person rather than an inanimate object like an idol.

Considering that mamzers are not permitted into the congregation of the LORD, even to the tenth generation, that there is a notable lack of reference to mamzers in the rest of the Holy Bible, and that these persons are called abominations and are put away, it's evident that these unidentified persons must be mamzers.

The only explanation for such a heinous omission from the Word of God is that the KJV translators were given instructions to use the English words idol and idolatry to conceal the numerous references in the original Hebrew text to miscegenation and mamzers.

This extreme bias from translators who would presume that a word which means log, which is evidently a Hebrew colloquialism for mamzer, could only be a figurative representation for idol, suggests that jews were heavily involved in these mistranslations.

[This reference to adultery is proof that gullil must be persons and not inanimate objects like idols which would be impossible to either commit adultery or miscegenate with.]

[Had Ezekiel intended to refer to idols here, it's likely that he would have used the Hebrew word atsab, Strong's #6091.]

[This reference to carcasses is proof that gullil must be persons and cannot be inanimate objects like idols which cannot have carcasses.]

[This reference to served is proof that gullil are persons who can be served rather than inanimate objects like idols which can only be worshipped rather than served.]

2Ki 23:24 Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the healers [was images], and the mamzers [was idols], and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD.

[This reference to "put away" can only apply to people like wizards, healers, and mamzers (who are all referred to as abominations in other Scripture), rather than to images and idols which are usually destroyed, burned, removed, or pounded into powder.]

Eze 6:9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, who miscegenate with [was "which go a whoring after"] mamzers [was idols]: and they shall loathe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

[If this was a reference to idols rather than people like mamzers, there are numerous other Hebrew words which would have been appropriate to use rather than zanah, which Strong's defines as adultery and fornication, read: miscegenation.]

Eze 20:18 But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your ancestors [was fathers], neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with mamzers.

[Defile yourselves means to pollute yourselves, which can only be a reference to mixing the holy seed with mamzers rather than worshiping an inanimate idol.]

Eze 30:13 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the mamzers, and I will cause their images [read: idols, from Strong's # 457, iliyl] to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

[This is proof that the translators knew that the word gullil could not possibly mean idol. In 20 instances of iliyl, this is the only time it's translated as images. Had they been consistent and translated iliyl as idol, then gullil could not have been translated as idol. Because idol would have appeared twice in one paragraph from two different Hebrew words, they would have had to realize that gullil could only be a reference to persons.]

Jer 50:2 Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and set up a standard; publish, and conceal not: say, Babylon is taken, Bel is confounded, Merodach is broken in pieces; her idols are confounded, her mamzers are destroyed.

[As further evidence that the translators were well aware of the real meaning of gullil, this is the only time that it's meaning was changed from idols to images. This was done only to avoid having the word idol appear twice in this scripture. Had gillul been translated as non-Israelite or mongrel throughout the Old Testament, there would have been no need or opportunity to play this shell game with the Hebrew translation.]

Eze 37:23 Neither shall they defile themselves any more with mamzers, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

[If you stretch your imagination you might be able to conclude that idols can have detestable things, but no amount of stretching will enable you to believe that idols have transgressions.]

There's no justification for transliterating the word abominations into abominable idols, unless your objective is to conceal that the abominations which were put away were mamzers who are not permitted into the congregation of the LORD, even to the tenth generation. If instead of saying put away this verb had been destroy, break, pound into dust, or melt, the insertion of idol MAY have been justified. As it is, just the use of put away is a strong indication that this wasn't the idea in the first place.

The jews have a very different view of the Hebrew word gillul, claiming that the Zorah is the Kabbalistic correspondence to the Holy Bible, which is the verbal parallel to the Torah and provides a missing link to the Hebrew word tsphua, Strong's H6832, which means dung. In other words, gillul means log, which is a reference to dung, which means dung people who are the golem who clean the city. With their fastidious concentration on scatology, it's no wonder that jews delight in such an interpretation, so much so that jews too fail to understand that gillul means mamzer.
