The US got 103 medals, or 3.5 medals per 10 million Americans.  But Australia with a population of 18.8 million got 49 medals or 26 medals per 10 million Australians, and Russia with a population of 147 million got 92 medals or 6.3 medals per 10 million Russians, putting our dream team niggers to shame.  As if that's not bad enough, 82.1 million Germans won 48 medals or 5.8 medals per 10 million Germans, 8.9 million Swedes won 7 medals or 7.9 medals per 10 million Swedes, and 4.4 million Norwegians won 6 medals, or 13.6. 

One of the only countries to win as few medals per capita as the US is Israel, whose population of 5.7 million won 2 medals, or 3.5 medals per 10 million Israelis.  114 million Nigerians got 2 medals or 0.2 medals per 10 million Nigerians, 15.5 million Cameroons got 1 medal or 0.6 medals per Cameroon, and 1 billion Indians got 1 medal or 0.01 medals per 10 million Indians. 

850 billions Africans on the African Continent won only 12 medals, or 0.2 medals per 10 million Africans.

Norway is also the country with the highest proportion of Olympic Gold Medals won between 1894 and 2003, a period of 109 years.   Where Norway received 67 Gold Medals per million people, at the other end of the scale was Israel who received NO Gold Medals.
